Hello!
My name is April Gladish! I am a mother of five, and I recently became a grandmother. When I am not working you will find me on my back porch enjoying its beautiful view and relaxing with music, when the weather allows. I love cooking for my family and friends and having Sunday dinners as much as possible. I am a problem solver and love helping others. Friends and family often come to me for my creative ideas and my ability to be understanding and empathetic to any situation. I enjoy a variety of different activities from collectors and antique shopping, crafting, golfing, nature walks, traveling, and watching football.
My Story
I started my career at Southwest Youth Village as the case manager for the boy's substance abuse program. I produced creative activities for the boys to do during downtime and helped the youth through obstacles they were facing there, as well as helping their families create solutions to difficult situations they might face on their arrival home. I have a BS degree from Oakland City University in Psychology with a minor in substance abuse counseling. I have always enjoyed helping children and families. I was a girl scout leader for 10 years, and I would often assist in my son's life skill class. I love that I am now a wraparound facilitator empowering families, discovering strengths and meeting needs.
